What is different
The submission is finished and the tap is the score. No counts, nothing held for a referee to judge.
What is not different
It is not the only way to win. Passing and holding a five count scores, and so does keeping a pin for the full round.
Levels
Every level starts standing
What changes is what you are allowed to finish with.
| Level | Who plays it |
|---|---|
| Beginner | White belt |
| Intermediate | Blue and purple |
| Advanced | Brown and black |
One card set
Every level plays the same games. Positional work matters as much at brown belt as at white.
Kids
The level follows the belt. White and grey play Beginner, yellow plays Intermediate, orange and above play Advanced.
The rules
How a round is won
Submission
Finished, and the tap scores. One point.
Fast submission
Inside thirty seconds. Two points.
Position win
Pass and hold a five count, or keep a pin to the buzzer. One point.
Draw
A round produces one score at most. No score is a draw.
Every round starts standing. What changes between levels is what you are allowed to finish with. The tap is instant and ends the round for any reason — no slams, no cranking, let go on the tap.
The goal
Compete without a bracket
For the team
Most points across the six rotations takes the game.
For you
Points, games played and games won build a record that travels with you, not the gym.
For the room
Regular hard rounds against people you do not train with every week, with no weekend trip and no entry fee.
